It’s official…I am registered for Hoopcamp Retreat 2010! From September 30 – October 3, I will hoop hoop hoop, be inspired, meet new friends, and bask in the shadow of the redwoods. This will be the first “big thing” I’ve done for myself in the 6 years since Bella was born and I am beyond thrilled. We will be camping just down the road (our RV was too big to fit at the retreat center)…so I will be able to nurse Lucy and be home every night. Oh the joy!
Here is a little taste of what Hoopcamp is all about:
Does anyone want to meet me there? 🙂
Loving your new blog… Been following the others for a long time.
I been wanting to try hooping since coming across in on your other blogs. Saw a lady hooping at a New age fayre we went to last week… Had a go and…. Ordered my hoop as soon as we got home.
It arrived yesterday!!!
My only question is what size have you got? I bought a 41″ as I’m a 14 dress size (UK 16). I have a feeling it might be too big as I struggled keeping the speed going last night. The one I tried at the fayre was easier to keep going.
Hi Louise…
I actually have several different sizes. My “big” hoop, which is the easiest to spin is a 43-44 inch. My next size down is a 40 and then I have a 38.
A 41 inch is a very good size to start with…keep at it, it will get easier with time. A few more inches would be a little easier, but as you learn more movements, you will naturally want a smaller hoop to go faster.
Happy Hooping!
Thank you! Really enjoying hooping and can see myself getting hooked. Stuck a pic of my hoop up on my blog.
Chris and I would love to go…but we are thinking next year. It looks like so much fun!
Oh!! I wish!! Have fun!!!
