Lately I’ve been watching more hoop videos to inspire my hoopy self back into a daily practice. This one is awesome. There is just something magical about a festival setting…and a girl with dreads. Probably also explains why this older clip of Spiral is one of my all time faves as well. I could watch it over and over! 🙂

Inspirations at the moment are more “structured” videos like the Electric Forest Hoop Troupe Casting 2012 and hooping idol on hooping.org. I love watching how the various hoop styles and music are put together to make video.

This is a clip by Safire that I’m loving right now, called SaFire In The Sun. SaFire is such an inspirational hooper. I love her style because she [along with hoopers like Anah Reichenbach and Spiral] are true dancers, not hoopers of the “look-how-many-mind-boggling-tricks-I-can-do” type!
I love to watch hooping tutorials and videos for inspiration and to help think of the hoop in new ways. I also have a variety of sizes to play with in different ways.
